India captain MS Dhoni pays Rs 20 crore income tax
To retain pole position as the highest individual tax payer in the Bihar and Jharkhand region the Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has paid Rs 20 crore income tax in 2013-14.
PK Rai, Principal Chief Commissioner,Patna Told to reporters that Dhoni has paid an income tax worth Rs 20 crore in 2013-14 to emerge as the highest tax payer in individual category in Bihar and Jharkhand region for sixth consecutive year.
On the dip in the IT paid by Dhoni this fiscal as compared to Rs 22 crore he paid last year, Rai said that the drop may be due to reduction in the Team India captain’s income from various sources.
When questioned about the cut down on tax paid by Dhoni this year in comparison with the 22 crore that he paid last year, Mr.Rai speculated that it could be due to a reduction in the 32-year old’s income from advertisements, endorsements and various other sources.
Rai also said that Dhoni’s income from advertisement sources might have come down this year.
